Can Kylian Mbappe win the Euros Golden Boot?

2024 is looking to be yet another huge year for Kylian Mbappe. The French footballing star has just announced his decision to leave Paris Saint Germain. The move came after the team once again failed in their bid to win the Champions League.

As such, it leaves the upcoming 2024 Euro tournament to be Mbappe’s best chance of getting some decent silverware - discounting yet another Ligue 1 title being in the bag for PSG.

France, of course, came close to claiming World Cup triumph in 2022 but ended up losing to Argentina in a dramatic penalty shoot-out. It was all the more heartbreaking for Mbappe given that he managed to score a hat-trick in the final and still lost.

As such, the French striker will be looking to put in an even better performance when the 2024 Euro tournaments kicks off in Germany on 14 June. If you went to a resource like www.jaxon.gg to find new betting sites with odds for the Golden Boot you’d find that Mbappe was the favourite to win the award alongside the following stars:

Kylian Mbappe

Most people would agree that Mbappe is a generational talent and it is little wonder that his expected move to Real Madrid is one of the biggest sports stories of the year. The striker has everything that you look for in a player with exceptional pace, strength and an unerring ability to score goals. As long as his French team-mates can match his excellence, it’s hard to look beyond Mbappe to win this Euro’s Golden Boot

Harry Kane

Everyone knows that Harry Kane is a proven goalscorer and the England star will be looking to compensate for that penalty miss against France at the last World Cup. Kane is on a seemingly never-ending hunt for trophies and it looks like his move from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich has once again failed to give him his desired silverware. But even if England fail to deliver the goods in Germany this summer, you can at least still count on Kane to serve up many more goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo

At the age of 39 years, Cristiano Ronaldo is showing no signs of slowing down. The Portuguese legend will once again be aiming to guide his national side to glory and recreate another triumph following their 2016 Euros victory. While Ronaldo’s move to Saudi Arabia may have taken him out of some of the spotlight, it seems that he is still able to provide plenty of fireworks on and off the pitch. From those trademark towering headers to those pinpoint free kicks, you can expect Ronaldo to light up the Euros this summer.

Jude Bellingham

Who would have guessed just what an impact Jude Bellingham would have made when he moved to Real Madrid at the start of the season. Since then, the English youngster has gone from strength to strength and powered Real Madrid to yet another La Liga title. Bellingham has shown remarkable maturity beyond his tender years, and while he is not a natural striker, he has still managed to claim 18 goals in 26 appearances for Real Madrid. Who'd bet against him doing the same for England at the Euros?

Olivier Giroud

Despite being one of the most underrated strikers in the world, Olivier Giroud is looking ready to have another excellent tournament. The 37-year old has announced that he will be leaving AC Milan at the end of the season to go to the MLS. This makes it likely that the 2024 Euros could be his international swansong and we’d expect Giroud to go out with a bang.
